SEAHAWKS 27 – Packers 24 PUSH (Seahawks -3…o/u 49 OVER) For a game that they lost, Green Bay jumped out 14-3 in the first quarter. Seattle scored two TDs in the second and this game was 21-17 at the half in favor of Green Bay. Neither team scored in the third and the game was won by Seattle in the fourth with a TD scored with five minutes left.

Seattle had nine more first downs (23-14). They outrushed Green Bay 173 yards to 48. Seattle had five sacks. Aaron Rodgers went 21-30 for 332 yards and 2 TDs with 0 INTs. Aaron Jones had 103 yards of offense combined with 2 TDs (one rushing and one receiving). Davante Adams had 10-166 yards. Russell Wilson went 21-31 for 225 yards with 2 TDs and ) INTs as well. Chris Carson went 17-83 yards with a TD. Doug Baldwin went 7-52 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: This turned out to be a great game. Seattle won the game with a TD with five minutes left in the game. Both teams had to have this game. Seattle just wanted it a little bit more. Neither team is more than likely going to win their division. So this is a Wild Card battle for sure. Edge goes to Seattle. Green Bay is in serious danger of not making the playoffs. Both teams are on the outside looking in. Seattle has a half-game lead over Green Bay after this game. There are six games left, so anything can happen for both of these teams. They are good. The question is, are they good enough.

FALCONS 19 – Cowboys 22*** (Falcons -3.5…o/u 50 UNDER) This game was all field goals going into the fourth quarter. How exciting? It was 9-6 Atlanta going into the fourth. Dallas scored two TDs rushing (Prescott and Elliott) to go up 19-9. The Falcons fought back with a FG and TD to tie the game. Dallas won the game on an end the game FG. This game was a very even game including in the stats. They were identical.

Dak Prescott went 22-32 for 208 yards. He had 0 TDs passing but he did have a rushing TD. Ezekiel Elliott had a monster game. He went 23-122 yards with a TD. Elliott also had 7-79 yards receiving. Matt Ryan went 24-34 for 291 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. Julio Jones went 6-118 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: Atlanta picked a bad time to lose back to back games. They are sliding. Dallas, on the other hand, has won back to back games. With this win, Dallas makes a serious play to lead the division as Atlanta slides right out of any Wild Card playoff chances. They have four teams ahead of them before they even have a shot. Getting Amari Cooper has helped Dallas. This was a big road win for them.

RAVENS 24 – Bengals 21*** (Ravens -6.5…o/u 43.5 OVER) Baltimore scored first. Cincy matched the TD in the second quarter. The Ravens kicked two FGs within two minutes to close out the half. Baltimore was up 13-7 at the half. Cincy jumped out quick in the third with 2 TDs. Baltimore closed out the third quarter with a TD and the game was tied 21-21, anyone’s game. The Ravens kicked a FG at the 8:12 minute mark of the fourth, and that was the only score. They won the game with that FG. Baltimore had 23 first downs and went 8-16 on third downs. They outrushed Cincy 267 yards to 48 yards. They had a huge lead in TOP with a 38 minute to 22 minute advantage. Needless to say, not having AJ Green really hurt the Bengals.

Andy Dalton went 19-36 for 211 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs. He also led the team in rushing sadly with 29 yards. Joe Mixon went 12-14 yards with a TD. Tyler Boyd went 4-71 yards. Lamar Jackson making his first start ever went 13-19 for 150 yards. He had 0 TDs and 1 INT. He did run like the wind. He had 26-119 yards. Newcomer Gus Edwards had a huge day too. He went 17-115 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: The Bengals have truly fallen apart. With this loss, they have now lost four of their last five games. They went from having a legit shot at the AFC North division to actually looking oustside of the playoffs. Granted, they are right there, but not in. Take a guess who leaped them with the win? You guessed it, the Ravens. The Baltimore Ravens are now in the Wild Card. The crazy part, is that they did all of this with Joe Flacco out injured. This game will have big implications for the playoffs. We will see what happens as there is time left, but Cincy needs to get some things figured out, and fast.

LIONS 20*** – Panthers 19 (Panthers -4…o/u 48 UNDER) This game was tied 7-7 after the first quarter with Detroit taking a 10-7 lead at the half. They kicked a FG in the third quarter to lead 13-7 going into the fourth. The teams traded TDs in the fourth quarter. With Detroit hanging on to the lead. Carolina scored at the 1:07 mark and decided to go for the 2 pt. conversion to win the game. They didn’t get the two and wound up losing. It was a costly loss.

This game was a very even statistically. Carolina had about 80 more total yards. They both had 20 first downs and zero fumbles. Cam Newton went 25-37 for 357 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT. Christian McCaffrey had 110 yards combined offense. D.J. Moore went 7-157 yards with a TD. Curtis Samuel and Greg Olsen each had a TD receiving as well.

MY TAKE: Sometimes going for two is a bad decision. The Panthers went to win the game with a two after a very late TD and they did not get it. They lost as a result. After winning three in a row, the Panthers have dropped back to back games. Pittsburgh is understandable, but the Lions is a tough one to swallow. This loss is tough as it just lets more teams closer to Carolina in the Wild Card chase. The Panthers have no shot at the division due to New Orleans being there. The Lions season is basically over, so they can just play spoiler. That is what they did here. It was a questionable call, and now it may really come back to bite Carolina.

COLTS 38*** – Titans 10 (Colts -1…o/u 50 UNDER) The Colts took a big lead 24-3 at the half and the game was esentially over. After the third quarter the lead grew to 31-3 and it was a blowout. The teams traded touchdowns in the fourth but it was meaningless. The Colts had ten more first downs. The Colts also had five sacks. There were three fumbles in the game, but no turnovers.

Marcus Mariota got hurt in the game and had to come out. He went 10-13 for 85 yards and an INT. Blaine Gabbert came in and went 11-16 for 118 yards with a TD and an INT. Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis combined to go 19-70 yards with no TDs. Andrew Luck went 23-29 for 297 yards and 3 TDs with 0 INTs. Marlon Mack went 16-61 yards with a TD. TY Hilton went nuts going 9-155 yards with 2 TDs.

MY TAKE: After losing four games in a row, with this win, the Colts have won four in a row and are red hot. In those wins, the Colts have scored 37, 42, 29 and 38 points. This was a huge division game that both teams could really have used. With the Texans looking like they will more than likely win the division, the Wild Card is up for grabs for both teams. With this win, the Colts have jumped the Titans for second place in the AFC South. They have as good a shot as any for the Wild Card. The Titans like I have said all year are a coin toss team. One week they destroy Dallas, the next week they get destroyed. I am not high on them and never have been. I expect them to continue to slide.

GIANTS 38 – Bucs 35 PUSH (Giants -3…o/u 54 OVER) The Giants jumped out right away with an early TD. Each team scored in the second quarter to make the game a 14-7 Giants lead at the half. The Giants got a pick-six and a FG in the third and the Bucs got a fumble that turned into a TD for a Giants 24-14 lead. The fourth quarter had a ton of scoring. Odell Beckham and Saquon Barkley for the Giants, and Mike Evans, Adam Humphries and Peyton Barber for the Bucs. The Giants managed to hold on to the game though and won by three.

Tampa had 31 first downs to the Giants 19. The Bucs had 500+ yards mainly due to the 350+ yards passing. The Bucs had four sacks. The problem was and why they lost was the combined FOUR INTERCEPTIONS. Jameis Winston went 12-16 for 199 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT after coming in for a benched Ryan Fitzpatrick who went 13-21 for 167 yards with 0 TDs and 3 INTs. Peyton Barber went 18-106 yards with a TD. Mike Evans went 6-120 yards with a TD. Eli Manning went 17-18 for 231 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Saquon Barkley went 27-142 yards and 2 TDs. He added a TD receiving as well. Odell Beckham went 4-74 yards and a TD.

MY TAKE: This was at least a fun game of two teams going nowhere. I have never seen a team do what Tampa Bay is doing with its revolving quarterback situation. They started Fitzpatrick again. He threw 3 INTs and was axed in the game. Back to Jameis. It is clear that neither of these guys is really that good. Tampa will have to decide what to do, but for now they take the loss. The Giants did show some life in this game winning two in a row with this game. It really is all for naught though.

REDSKINS 21*** – Texans 23 (Texans -3…o/u 40.5 OVER) Houston took a lead in the first quarter 10-0 and had a 17-7 lead at the half. Washington crawled back with a TD in the third but Houston got a FG to hold a 20-14 lead going into the fourth. It wasn’t enough though as Washington scored to start the fourth quarter and they took a lead for the first time in the game. The problem was that Houston kicked a 54-yard FG at the 7:30 mark and took a lead that Washington could not overcome.

The stats were pretty even in the game. Washington had more first downs (23-19). The total yards were close (320 for the Texans and 278 for the Skins). The Texans had five sacks. Each team threw two picks. Deshaun Watson went 16-24 yards for 208 yards with 1 TD and 2 INTs. Lamar Miller went 20-86 yards. DeAndre Hopkins went 5-56 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: This was another exciting game. Washington really needed this game more than Houston did. Houston is red hot and coming off of a bye week. This win makes seven in a row! But, Washington had to win this game to hold on to the top spot in the NFC East. They lost and they lost the spot. More importantly, they lost Alex Smith for the year and more than likely his career with a very gruesome leg injury. They will now rely on Colt McCoy who has been a backup forever. This is bad news for Washington.

JAGS 16 – Steelers 20 PUSH (Steelers -4…o/u 47 UNDER) No scoring in the first quarter in this one. The Jags kicked three FGs in the second to take a 9-0 lead at the half. Both teams scored TDs in the third quarter. Pittsburgh put the game away with two TDs in the fourth quarter. Even in the win, the Jags outrushed the Steelers 179 yards to 26 yards. The Steelers out passed the Jags 297 yards to 64 yards. Very lopsided each way. Even in the win, the Steelers threw 3 INTs. The Steelers had six sacks. The Jags had eleven penalties.

Big Ben went 27-47 for 314 yards with 2 TDs and 3 INTs. James Conner had a dud with a 9-25 yard day. The wide receivers were hot again. Antonio Brown went 5-117 yards with a TD and Juju Smith-Schuster went 8-104 yards. Blake Bortles had a terrible 10-18 for 104 yards with 0 TDs and 0 INTs. Leonard Fournette was the only positive going 28-95 yards with a TD rushing and he added 2-46 receiving.

MY TAKE: This was a game that the Jags could have said “enough is enough” we gotta stop the bleeding. And while it was a close game, it was another loss. The worst part is that they led the whole game and let it slip at the very end. They were even shutting Pitt out! But the Jags suck and bad teams lose these sort of games too. Pitt scored three unanswered TDs in the third and fourth quarter to win the game. This was an embarrassment for Jacksonville, and it is only fitting. This whole season has been an embarrassment.

CARDINALS 21 – Raiders 23*** (Cards -4.5…o/u 41 OVER) A lot of scoring in the first quarter. The Cards took an early 14-7 lead only to have the Raiders tie it 14-14 at the half. The third quarter saw the Raiders score two FGs as the Cards were blanked. In the fourth quarter, the Cards scored a TD to take the lead with five minutes left. The Raiders wound up kicking a game-winning FG while time expired. The Cards had four sacks in the game. The Cards threw two INTs.

David Carr went 19-31 for 192 yards for 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Jared Cook and Brandon FaFell had TD catches. Josh Rosen went 9-20 for 136 yards with 3 TDs and 2 INTs. David Johnson went 25-137 yards. Christian Kirk went 3-77 yards and a TD and Larry Fitzgerald went 2-23 yards and 2 TDs.

MY TAKE: In what was probably the worst game of the day on paper, the Raiders actually won this game. It took a last second FG to do so, but a win is a win. The game was meaningless. This game mad both teams 2-8. Way to go. There is not much to say here. Good luck in the draft. The season is a waste and a loss.

CHARGERS 22 – Broncos 23*** (Chargers -7…o/u 47 UNDER) In the first quarter, the Chargers scored two FGs to start. The teams traded TDs in the second quarter. They also traded TDs in the third quarter, but the Chargers missed their point after. The fourth saw Denver score a TD while the Chargers did answer with a FG to take the lead. It wasn’t enough as Denver kicked a game winning FG as time expired.

The Chargers had ten more first downs (26-16). They went 9-15 on third downs. They threw for a ton more yards (384 to 217 yards). The Broncos did have three sacks. The Chargers had 14 penalties. Case Keenum went 19-32 for 205 yards. He had 0 TDs and 0 INTs. Phillip Lindsay went 11-79 yards with 2 TDs. Royce Freeman also chimed in going 7-23 yards with a TD. The Chargers went 28-43 for 401 yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Melvin Gordon went 18-69 yards rushing along with 6-87 yards receiving. Keenan Allen went 9-80 yards with a TD. Antonio Gates went 5-80 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: Surprise, another head-scratcher game. The Chargers were home and really should not have lost this game. It did take a game-winning FG as time expired for Denver to do it, but they did win. Even with Melvin Gordon back, it was not enough. Denver has some fight. They really have nothing to play for this year, but this is a divison rivalry so they played hard and stole this one. So far, this game has not hurt the Chargers in their Wild Card chances as they still lead the AFC Wild Card hunt. But the Chargers have to keep their foot on the gas pedal. They can’t slip or risk losing that spot.

SAINTS 48*** – Eagles 7 (Saints -7…o/u 56.5 UNDER) Huge blowout started right away. The Saints scored ten points in the first and fourth quarters. They scored fourteen points in the second and third quarters. Philly’s only score came in the second quarter. The Saints had 28 first downs. They went 6-11 on third downs. They had a huge difference in yards as the Saints had 546 to Philly’s 196 yards. The Saints had three sacks.

Carson Wentz went 19-33 for 156 yards with 0 TDs and 3 INTs. Josh Adams went 7-53 yards with a TD. Drew Brees went bananas going 22-30 for 363 yards with 4 TDs and 0 INTs. Mark Ingram went 16-103 yards with 2 TDs. Alvin Kamara went 13-71 yards rushing. He added one TD catch for 37 yards. Tre’Quan Smith went 10-157 yards with a TD. Mike Thomas went 4-92 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: I have said all year that this is not last year’s Eagles Super Bowl team. This is a “perfect” example of how bad they have been this year. Now nobody thought that they were going to beat the Saints. But this is as embarrassing a game that there is. This game was totally lopsided. The Saints are the best team in football, and this game may have proven it. Who is going to stop them? Seems like nobody. As for Philly, I am not sure what they are going to do. They have their QB. They have

BEARS 25*** – Vikings 20 (Bears -2.5…o/u 44 OVER) The Bears scored the only points in the first with a FG. They scored a TD and a FG in the second quarter to go up 14-0 at the half. The Vikings had the only score in the third quarter with a FG. They did have two TDs in the fourth, but it was just a little too late. The Bears had a pick-six TD in the last quarter along with a FG. The Bears had more first downs (24-19). They outrushed the Vikes 148 yards to 22 yards. Both teams threw 2 picks. Each team had a fumble that they lost.

Kirk Cousins went 30-46 for 262 yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Dalvin Cook had a terrible 9-12 yards. Stefon Diggs went 13-126 yards and a TD. Adam Thielen went 7-66 yards. Mitch Trubisky went 20-31 yards for 165 yards with 1 TD and 2 INTs. He also ran for 10-43 yards. Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen combined to go 25-90 yards.

MY TAKE: This was a big game for both teams. Bigger for the Vikings than it was for the Bears. The Bears lead the NFC North and this game only increased the lead. The Vikings (who were favored to win the division) now fall another game behind. They are now 1.5 games back. But losing to the front-runner is tough. It is amazing how the Bears have gone pass first and it is working for them. Mitch Trubisky can win comeback player of the year, even though there are a few good candidates. The Bears are a surprise, but they don’t seem like they are slipping. This win shows they want this division.

RAMS 54 – Chiefs 51 PUSH (Rams -3…o/u 63.5 OVER) A ton of scoring to go over. The Rams jumped out fast scoring two TDs in the first and the Chiefs added a TD toward the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Rams got a FG and a defensive TD and the Chiefs got 2 TDs and a FG to tie the game at the half 23-23. The Rams took a lead in the third with a FG and two TDs to the Chiefs only scoring one TD. The fourth quarter saw a combined 35 points with the Chiefs scoring three TDs, one of which was a defensive TD. The Rams were able to win and hold on as they scored a final TD by Gerald Everett. He also had a TD earlier in the fourth quarter.

There were 56 first downs (29 for the Rams and 27 for the Chiefs). The Chiefs had 546 total yards and the Rams had 455 total yards. The Chiefs had five sacks and the Rams had three sacks. The Chiefs did throw three INTs in the game. The Chiefs had a whopping 13-135 yards in penalties. There were five fumbles total in the game. The Chiefs had two and lost both. The Rams had three and lost both as well.

Pat Mahones went 33-46 yards for 478 yards and six TDs with 3 INTs. Kareem Hunt went 14-70 yards rushing and he had 3-41 yards with a TD receiving. Chris Conley went 7-74 yards with 2 TDs. Travis Kelce went 10-127 yards with a TD. And Tyreek Hill went 10-215 yards and 2 TDs. Jared Goff went 31-49 for 413 yards with 4 TDs and 0 INTs. He added a rushing TD as well. Todd Gurley went 12-55 yards rushing and 3-39 yards receiving. Brandin Cooks went 8-107 yards. Robert Woods went 4-72 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: This was the best offensive display of football you may ever see. Absolutely amazing to see these teams in action. It makes you wonder how QBs like Carr and Bortles and Tannehill have such a hard time even completing third down passes let alone all of this scoring. But these two teams are offensive magic. As good as it gets. Someone had to win this game. Honestly, the Chiefs should have won, but gave up defensive TDs that didn’t help. An amazing game and a serious shot for a repeat matchup in the Super Bowl. We should all be so lucky. If you haven’t see this game, go watch the highlights on YouTube.
