CARDINALS 10 – Broncos 45*** (Broncos -1…o/u 42 OVER) This game was over very very early. A pick-six to start the game set the tone immediately. Then another TD on a trick play from Emanuel Sanders to Courtland Sutton, and if you can believe another pick-six and this was 21-3 at the end of the first quarter. Denver got another huge TD from Sanders and a punch in from Royce Freeman and this was a sick 35-3 at the half. The teams traded TDs in the 3rd quarter and the fourth was just cruise control as Denver tacked on an unnecessary FG. Denver was all over Rosen like flies on sh*t. They had SIX SACKS and forced three fumbles, two of which the Cardinals lost. They also threw 3 INTs in the game. It was disgusting. Case Keenum had 161 yards and 1 TD with 1 INT. Phillip Lindsay had a nice 14-90 yards with a TD. Emanuel Sanders had another good one with 6-102 yards with a passing TD and receiving TD. Josh Rosen, running for his life threw 39 times to get to 194 yards. David Johnson continues his terrible season going 14-39 yards. Larry Fitzgerald was actually spotted. He had 4-40 and a TD. Sadly, that is a good game for this legend nowadays.

MY TAKE: This game was as embarrassing a performance as one could watch. To see grown men who practiced all week get dominated in this manner by another group of grown men is laughable. Josh Rosen is not looking so good this year, is he? This game was so hard to watch. The Denver defense just completely annihilated the weak Cardinals. The Cardinals will continue to be one of the worst in the league. Denver, on the other hand, did win a game they should have. Don’t get too excited just yet. They still have issues with good squads. This win did get them to 3-4, so what does that tell you? It tells you that they aren’t so good. Another coin toss team.

CHARGERS 20 – Titans 19*** (Chargers -6.5…o/u 46 UNDER) A close game that was a surprise. The Titans started off with a FG only to have the Chargers hit for a 75 yard TD strike. Each team then traded FGs to close the half 10-6. The teams also traded TDs in the 3rd quarter with the Chargers getting another big play for 55 yards from Rivers to Mike Williams. In the 4th, Los Angeles kicked another FG to go up 20-13. The Titans had a shot. They scored a one-yard TD with :31 seconds to go. They decided to go for the win with a 2-pt conversion. They didn’t get it. Should have gone for the tie, huh?

Mariota did have 237 yards which is a huge day for him. Dion Lewis actually showed up and went 13-91 yards. Philip Rivers had another 300-yard game (306) and he had 2 TDs and 0 INTs. They did miss Melvin Gordon though, as Austin Ekeler went 12-42 yards. Not exactly the same production. Tyrell Williams has been a great surprise this year, to the dismay of Kennan Allen. He had 4-118 yards and a big 75 yard TD. Zero fumbles in the game. Tennessee was an impressive 9-15 on 3rd down.

MY TAKE: A very close game for the Chargers that should not have been. Tennessee has no offense, but they showed up in this game. Now, don’t be foolish. A lot of this game had to do with the fact that Melvin Gordon didn’t play. But that didn’t matter. The Chargers got the win. And a sign of a good team is to win games that they should have or could have lost. They did that in this game.

BEARS 31 – Patriots 38*** (Pats -1…o/u 49 OVER) This was a fun game. The Bears gave it all they could. They spotted New England a quick TD at the 11:00 mark. From there, the Bears rattled off 17 unanswered points. They then let the Pats return a kick return for 95 yards and a TD along with a James White TD as well. The game was 21-17 Pats lead at the half. The Bears then took a lead in the 3rd with a Tarik Cohen TD. The Pats then added a FG and another special teams TD. The Pats led 31-24 at the 4th. Both teams scored a TD in the 4th and the Pats held on to the win. There were 50 first downs in this game! The Bears had 29 of them and went 8-16 on 3rd down. The Pats also had three fumbles and turned two over.

Tom Brady had another solid game. 25-36 for 277 yards. He had 3 TDs and just 1 INT. James White did what he does. He caught 8-57 and 2 TDs. Sony Michel got hurt in this game and is out for a long while. Josh Gordon had his first 100 yard game for the Pats. Trubisky threw a ton again for the Bears. He had 50 throws for 333 yards. He did have 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Trubisky also led the team in rushing which we keep seeing in this league. 6-81 and a TD. Howard and Cohen combined for 18 carries for only 53 yards between them. Trey Burton did have a monster going 9-126 yards and a TD.

MY TAKE: The Bears gave it their all. The Bears all of a sudden are an offensive scoring machine. Imagine that it is the defense that is the weak link. They gave up a ton to Miami and now giving up a ton to the Pats shows the defense isn’t what it was earlier this year. The Pats are rolling. This was a fun game but the better team came out ahead. The Bears are still in the playoff hunt, but they need to win some of these close games. They don’t really have a definite starter in the running game. But both Cohen and Howard are doing fairly well. The Pats are going on all cylinders. With Gordon more entrenched and Edelman back, the Pats are on fire.

COLTS 37*** – Bills 5 (Colts -7…o/u 43.5 UNDER) After a scoreless first quarter, the Colts opened it up with a 24-0 second quarter with three Andrew Luck TDs and a FG. Buffalo got their only points on a safety and FG in the 3rd quarter. The Colts added 2 TDs in the 4th quarter to rub the salt in the wound. Andrew Luck had another solid game where he didn’t have to throw a million times. He had a modest 17-23 for 156 yards, but 4 TDs and 0 INTs. Derek Anderson for the Bills wasn’t quite as good. He had 175 yards and 3 INTs with 0 TDs. Kelvin Benjamin showed up with Anderson at QB for a 4-71 yard line. Chris Ivory played over McCoy and had 16-81 yards. Marlon Mack is truly back. He had a monster 19-126 yards and a TD along with 2-33 yards receiving and a TD.

The Colts were an impressive 7-13 on 3rd down. They had 200+ rushing yards. To make matters worse, besides the 3 INTs, the Bills also had two fumbles and lost both.

MY TAKE: The Colts really aren’t that bad. Granted, you aren’t really sure what you are going to get, but when they play, they play fairly well. They are very happy to have Marlon Mack back as he has had a couple of good games. The Bills picked up Derek Anderson and he threw 3 INTs for them. Congrats! The Bills are definitely one of the worst teams in the NFL. They should continue to be bad all year. Enjoy your top ten draft pick.

JAGS 7 – Texans 20*** (Jags -3.5…o/u 43 UNDER) The Texans got it started with two FGs in this low scoring affair in the 1st quarter. The Texans then scored TDs in the second and third quarters before the Jags finally scored late in the third. That score came from Cody Kessler to TJ Yeldon. Nobody scored in the fourth quarter. No stats to be excited about here. Blake Bortles played so poorly that he was finally benched for Kessler. He was a miserable 6-12 for 61 yards. Deshaun Watson had 139 yards and a TD. Lamar Miller went 22-100 yards with a TD. The Jags had three fumbles of which they lost two. The Texans sacked the Jags four times. Both teams did quite well on 3rd downs (Jags 9-19 and the Texans 8-16), especially considering how low the scoring was.

MY TAKE: The Jags are on one of the biggest disappointments in all of the league. This was supposed to be a Super Bowl contender. They aren’t even going to win their division. What a joke. The team that beat them, however, is going to win the division. The Texans are red hot. The Jags have no running game. The coach is terrible. They have one of the worst wide receiver corps in the league. To put up one TD doesn’t just fall on Blake Bortles. He deserves plenty of blame, but this team is just falling apart. I put them in that implosion category much as I did with the Raiders and Giants weeks ago. The Texans are flying high. They seem to finally have hit their stride now.

DOLPHINS 21 – Lions 32*** (Lions -3…o/u 47 OVER) The Lions scored first in this game. They also were leading in the game 17-7 at halftime. They also never were behind as Miami could only play catchup in this one. Giving up 32 points is not going to typically lead to wins. The quarterbacks played pretty decently as they both had 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Stafford was 18-22 for 217 yards, and Osweiler (still playing for the Fins as Tannehill is still injured), went 22-31 for 239 yards. Kerryon Johnson ran all over the Fins badly. He had a huge day going 19-158 yards. LeGarrette Blount added a 10-50 yard day with 1 TD. Unknown TE Michael Roberts had 2 TDs. Kenyan Drake only had six carries, but he did finish with 72 yards along with a 54-yard TD run. The Fins lost Albert Wilson in this game. They did get a Danny Amendola sighting as he went 6-84 yards and a TD.

MY TAKE: The Dolphins had a shot at one point this year. Then they started to lose. Then Tannehill went down and they put Osweiler in and he had a monster game against a tough Chicago defense. All of a sudden there was excitement again in Miami. You can let the air out of the balloon again. Losing to the Lions at home is a bad thing. It is not like the Lions are world-beaters. The Fins drew the NFC North as the division they must play. The bad news for Miami is that they still have to play Minnesota and Green Bay. The Lions are that coin toss team I constantly speak of. You just never know. This was another one of those games.

JETS 17 – Vikings 37*** (Vikings -3.5…o/u 44.5 OVER) The Vikings started the game right off the bat with an Adam Thielen TD for 34 yards. The Jets matched that score. In the 2nd quarter, the Vikes added a FG and closed the half 10-7 and this was a game. They opened the game up a bit in the 3rd quarter with a Latavius Murray run and FG. The Jets did add a 55 yard FG near the end of the third. The Vikings put ten nails in the coffin in the 4th with two big plays. A Latavius Murray run for 38 yards and an Aldrick Robinson 34 yard TD from Kirk Cousins. The Jets did get a Sam Darnold TD run. Cousins had a nice day. 25-40 for 241 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Sam Darnold did what he does…again. Very inaccurate. He went 17-42 for 206 yards with a TD and 3 INTs. Murray had 2 TDs and went 15-69 yards rushing. Adam Thielen had ANOTHER 100 YARD  GAME. Simply amazing! No Jets had any stats worth mentioning. Neither team could pick up a third down. The Jets had five fumbles. They only lost one of them.

MY TAKE: Very simple. The better team won this game. The Vikings are a force. When they are on, they are really on. The Jets have lost Bilal Powell for the year in this game, so that is going to truly hurt. Another game where Minnesota does not miss Dalvin Cook. Another huge game by the NFL’s top WR this season, Adam Thielen. Sam Darnold added another 3 INTS to his season. The Jets are interesting, but they are not going anywhere with their absolutely inconsistent play.

EAGLES 17 – Panthers 21*** (Eagles -5…o/u 45 UNDER) A very strange game that both teams really needed to show they belong. Carolina more to show they are a Super Bowl team. Philly to show that they are actually the Super Bowl champs. The game started off with a 0-0 first quarter. Philly took a lead in the second quarter with a TD and a FG. They ended the 3rd quarter with another TD to take a 17-0 lead. That wasn’t enough though. The Panthers rattled off 21 points to win this game. What a collapse by Philly. Just embarrassing. Even going 3-4 on 4th downs didn’t help Philly. They also had three fumbles and lost one. Philly even held the ball for ten minutes more than Carolina. Cam Newton went 25-39 for 269 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Carson Wentz had a bigger day going 30-37 for 310 yards and 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Newton led the Panthers in rushing going 7-49 yards as McCaffrey went 7-29 yards (as he also had 6-51 yards receiving). Devin Funchess went 6-62 yards and a TD. Zach Ertz had a big day going 9-138 yards and Alshon Jeffery went 7-88 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: The Panthers are the better team this year. That is pretty clear. The Eagles really blew this game. They needed this win to stay in pace with the NFC East. To take the lead they did in the fourth quarter and let it slide should really hurt this team’s ego. The defense should really be pissed at itself. Carolina should be in the playoffs. They probably won’t win the division over the Saints. But they are in the hunt. The Eagles will be in the hunt, but this is a game they really should want back.

BUCS 26 – Browns 23*** (Bucs -3.5…o/u 52.5 UNDER) This game started out with a safety for the Browns to be matched by a FG by Tampa Bay. In the second quarter, the Bucs tacked on two TDs. The Browns fought back with a TD to start the 3rd quarter. Tampa Bay made sure to close out the quarter by matching that TD. Tampa Bay folded in the fourth and the Browns scored two TDs to tie the game and send it to overtime. After the Tampa kicker missed FGs and extra points it was only fitting that they made a 59-yard FG to win the game in overtime. Jameis Winston did exactly what he does. He throws a ton of balls 32-52. He had a bunch of yards, 365. But he threw 2 INTs and had 0 TDs. Baker Mayfield went 23-34 for 215 yards. He had 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Nick Chubb stepped in for the traded Carlos Hyde and went 18-80 yards with a TD. Jarvis Landry was force-fed fifteen targets and did finish with a 10-97 yard game with a TD. Winston did also have 10-55 yards rushing with a TD. He hit Mike Evans for 7-107 yards. This game had tons of penalties (22 total with Cleveland having 14 and Tampa Bay having 8).

MY TAKE: Imagine that somehow, someway Tampa Bay won a game that they had FOUR TURNOVERS in. Jameis Winston really is something else. He can whip a ball around. He throws a lot. But he just keeps on turning the ball over, again and again, every week. It is getting to the point where this team does not know what to do with this guy. Cleveland looked good earlier on. This is another stinger loss as they keep going into overtime, but coming up short. Neither team has much to be happy about at this point.

RAVENS 23 – Saints 24*** (Ravens -2.5…o/u 49 UNDER) The game started out slow. Baltimore led with a FG in the 2nd quarter. The Saints came back and scored a TD, only to have Baltimore score a TD to close out the half. Not much happened in the 3rd quarter until Baltimore added a TD pretty late. They were actually up 17-7 going into the 4th quarter. But that is when the Saints decided to take control. The Saints ripped off 17 unanswered points. Baltimore did score a very late TD to tie the game, but one of the best kickers in the game missed the XP and the game was over. Saints win!

Drew Brees had a mediocre game. He went 22-30 for 212 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Flacco went 23-39 for 279 yards. He also had 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Alvin Kamara went 17-64 yards with a TD. Mike Thomas had 7-69 yards with a TD. John Brown popped his head up finally going 7-134 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: Two good teams. Someone had to win. The Saints winning on the road in comeback form is a sign that they really are a good team. Baltimore isn’t a bad team. They really probably should have won this game. But they didn’t and it should hurt. They are in a very tight division with Pittsburgh and Cincinnati fighting them. While it was a non-conference game, this was a slipped opportunity. It also says a lot when Drew Brees can have such a mediocre day and they still win the game.

REDSKINS 20*** – Cowboys 17 (Cowboys -1.5…o/u 40.5 UNDER) This was a huge game for the division. It was a very up and back game. Washington scored first in the first quarter. Dallas scored to tie in the second quarter. Washington kicked a FG in the third quarter. It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that there was some action. Unfortunately for Dallas, they could never take a lead. They really screwed themselves when they allowed Washington to get a cheap fumble return TD to basically win the game. Even a late Dallas TD by Prescott wasn’t enough. Dallas had a shot to tie the game, but they missed that game-tying field goal. It didn’t help Dallas that they fumbled three times and lost two of them.

Dak Prescott had one of his better games. He had 22-35 for 273 yards along with 6-33 yards rushing, and a TD passing and rushing. Ezekiel Elliott was a no-show going 15-33 yards and 0 TDs. Adrian Peterson had another good game. He went 24-99 yards. Alex Smith went 14-25 for 178 yards with 1 TD and 0 INTs.

MY TAKE: In a division that is truly up for grabs, this was a big game. Washington by winning is now in first place. The Giants are done, so this is a three-man race between Philly, Dallas, and Washington. It looks like this can be Washington’s division for the taking. As long as AP keeps having the season he is having, then this is a very realistic goal. He may actually win comeback player of the year.

49ERS 10 – Rams 39*** (Rams -9…o/u 52 UNDER) The Rams jumped all over the Niners. This game was over at halftime. Zuerlein came back and started the game off with a FG. In the 2nd quarter, it opened up. Gurley ran a TD in. Then the Rams got a safety. They then added a FG. Then they closed out their half with a Goff to Cooks TD. The Niners showed a bit of life by scoring a quick TD to close out the half. At that point it was 22-7. The Rams made the lead 32-7 by adding another FG and Gurley TD. The Niners added a lame FG in the 3rd quarter. The Rams buried the Niners in the 4th quarter with the only TD in that quarter. The Niners had FOUR TURNOVERS (two INTs & two fumbles) in the game as if they needed to help the Rams.

Jared Goff went 18-24 for 202 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Todd Gurley had his usual THREE TDs (two rushing & one receiving) along with 15-63 yards and 4-23 yards receiving. There wasn’t much to be excited over stat-wise. However, George Kittle continues to have a good year. He added 5-98 yards with a TD.

MY TAKE: This was a slaughter. Everyone knew it would be a slaughter. The Rams rule football. The 49ers have very little talent. There is not much to discuss here. The best team beat up on a weakling. It really is that simple. Todd Gurley will challenge for the MVP of the league. Jared Goff has a shot to along with Pat Mahomes. But Gurley really is special. He is the best RB in football.

CHIEFS 45*** – Bengals 10 (Chiefs -6.5…o/u 56 UNDER) This game was also over at the half. The Chiefs went up 14-0 by the starting of the 2nd quarter on two Kareem Hunt from Pat Mahomes TDs. The Bengals tacked on a TD halfway through the quarter. The Chiefs then added a TD and a FG to close the half up 24-7. The game was over at this point. Kareem Hunt added his 3rd TD in the 3rd quarter, and the Chiefs also tacked on a pick-six INT. All Cincy can do was kick a FG that meant nothing. The only score in the 4th quarter was a Tyreek Hill from Mahomes TD catch.

The stats in this game were not even close. How about 33 to 15 first downs in favor of KC? How about 9-12 on 3rd down conversions? How about a 200-yard difference in yards? How about ZERO PUNTS in the game? Mahomes had a monster 28-39 for 358 yards and 4 TDs. Mohomes even added 4-45 yards rushing. He had 1 INT. Kareem Hunt had a monster too. He had THREE TDs, two receiving and one rushing. He had 15-86 yards rushing and 5-55 yards receiving. Travis Kelce went 9-95 yards. Sammy Watkins went 4-74 yards. Tyreek Hill went 7-68 yards and a TD. Andy Dalton has had a good year. Not so much in this game. 15-29 yards for 148 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. AJ Green had a game going 7-117 yards. Joe Mixon went 13-50 yards.

MY TAKE: My Oh my! The Chiefs are the real deal! This game was a massive blow out! On paper, this was supposed to be a close and fun game. It wasn’t. The Chiefs offense just cannot be tamed. They are so fast. They have so many talented players. Who do you even try to contain? The answer is nobody. Because you can’t. The big matchup coming up is when the Chiefs play the Rams in November. Buckle up, it will be the game of the year.

FALCONS 23 – Giants 20*** (Falcons -4 o/u 52.5 UNDER) The game started with no scoring. The second quarter saw Atlanta jump out with a TD. The two teams then traded FGs. At the half, the game was 10-3. The Giants tacked on a fairly late FG in the 3rd quarter, to make it 10-6 Atlanta. The Falcons then scored a FG to start the 4th. They followed with a TD and were up 20-6 and the game was in hand. The Giants got a TD rushing to scrape back in. Atlanta buried the Giants with a 56-yard FG at the 2-minute mark of the 4th. The Giants added a junk TD to close the game out. It meant nothing. There were seven sacks in the game (three for NY and four for Atlanta). The stats in this game were very even.

Eli Manning and Matt Ryan had big games. Eli went 27-38 for 399 yards with 1 TD and 0 INTs. Matt Ryan was just as good. He went 31-39 for 379 yards and 1 TD with 0 INTs as well. Tevin Coleman had 11-50 yards with a TD. Julio Jones had 9-104 yards, yet if you can believe it, he still has ZERO TDs. Saquon Barkley had 14-43 yards with a TD rushing, and also added 9-51 yards receiving. The Giants wideouts had huge days. Odell Beckham went 8-143 yards and a TD and Sterling Shepard went 5-167 yards.

MY TAKE: Both teams are having terrible years. The Giants are just worse. Atlanta is a much bigger disappointment though. Imagine that Atlanta is 3-4 and the Giants are 1-6. Just pathetic. Julio Jones doesn’t even have a TD. Imagine that? Eli Manning is the most sacked QB in football. The Giants season is over. Atlanta better figure something out real fast. They are in a very tough division that has New Orleans and Carolina. Uh Oh, that isn’t good!
