Most people mistake him for sunny Californian and  sometimes even South American, but this native New Yorker comes to us hot off the heels of a stellar performance and packed house at NYC’s famed club Cielo (personally, my favorite NYC house club) and just as the snow’s about to start falling over the Northeast, he’s gearing up to rock the disco aboard an Italian cruise liner for a week of fun in the sun sailing off the Florida coast and heading to Mexico and Honduras with a bag full of bangin’ beats. No stranger to Florida’s beaches (he’s been to most of them), Nutritious gives us a taste of what he’s all about.

What genre of music do you spin?

Deep Soulful Funky Gritty House Music

Who are some of your musical inspirations?

Way too many to list but Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Leonard Cohen for obvious reasons. DJs Mark Farina & Rob Paine for their humility and constant hustle, and Grammy nominated mix engineer Ariel Borujow for his unparalleled support and genius. Plus, all the underground electronic music & event producers putting their blood sweat and tears into keeping this scene thriving.

What has been the best part of your work as a DJ?

The smiles on peoples faces, people freaking out on the dancefloor, lovers making out in the corners, the soundsystems thumping, all the insanely awesome music I’m blessed with and get to share.

Favorite venues to play at here  in sunny South Florida?

To be determined…I’m just now tapping the market down here. Hopefully, we’ll link with some great promoters and set it off properly.

Favorite things to do while in South Florida?

I’m from New York City so I welcome the warmth and the sun…chill by the pool, roll around in the hot sand, have sex on the beach.

Sex on The Beach?  Haha!  So I hear you’re playing Jam Cruise?  Tell us about that.

It’s a week long floating music festival on a massive luxury cruise ship that leaves out of Ft. Lauderdale and stops by some vacation retreats in Mexico and Central America. It’s about 3000 people at sea with some of the biggest names in music performing nearly 24-7. From the remaining members of the Grateful Dead to some of the hottest up and coming electronic artists, everyone rages together. Lots of bikinis and good beats. I’m performing 2 nights in the “Late Night Disco”.

Any plans for Winter Music Conference?

The details aren’t set – lots of feathers were ruffled by the sudden date changes. A few things are in the works though. Hopefully some pool parties and perhaps a hotel banger or two.

Tell us your favorite part about being a DJ.

The good vibrations, the promotion of peace and love through song and dance. A good house party taps the primal side of us and suddenly everyone’s getting half-naked and tribal on the dancefloor. That’s humanity at its best.

Seen by Sara’s Final Word:

I would say the music is very soulful and has a very different sound, not one you hear often in house music.  If you like jazz, and you like house, and maybe a little funk; you would really enjoy his beats.  For more — visit:
