Lighthouse Court Hotel
I had the privilege to stay at one of the most Historic Key West Inns, the Lighthouse Court Hotel. It is one of six hotels in the center of Old town, Key West on Whitehead Street right near US 1, one block from Duval and steps away from Key West’s best nightlife, restaurants, historical attractions and the waterfront. A few attractions right next the Lighthouse Court Hotel are the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum and the Key West Lighthouse Museum.
The 10 buildings with 40 rooms of the Lighthouse Court Hotel date from1890 to the 1920s. So you still have the old Key West charm, but it is very spacious, with the property being spread out on half a city block. My room not only was immaculately clean, it was also in a great location right next to the pool, the continental breakfast area and their Mojito Bar and Café. The mojito bar was great, very convenient for a cocktail and a snack. Our bartender, Piter Michael, was such a nice gentleman, very entertaining, very accommodating, and made the most amazing Key lime Mojitos. I will definitely be back for more!
The hotel was very romantic and probably best for a couple’s vacation, but the hotel can also accommodate families and children with one of their suites, and everyone will love its large, heated pool the hotel has to offer. The front desk was all smiles and very accommodating, along with the rest of the staff. Anything we needed, an extra towel, or help with dinner plans, they were right on it with a smile.
The Lighthouse Court Hotel was an amazing place to stay in Key West, and I can’t wait to stay there again and to check out all the other Key West historic inns around the area. Prices are very reasonable, and if it’s is sold out, your other inn options around the area are Cyprus house, Key Lime Inn, Albury Court, Chelsea House, and Merlin Guesthouse. To make reservations at any of these inns you can go on www.historickeywestinns.com or call 1-800-549-4430. I want to think everyone from the Lighthouse Court Hotel for my amazing weekend stay.
