Ringing In The New Year At The Sunset Beach Club Hotel In Spain!

Amanda Ferrari January 2, 2012 2

I got to ring in the New Year at the Oasis Restaurant at the Four Star Sunset Beach Club Hotel directly on the seafront of Benalmadena, Costa del Sol, Spain. The hotel is only 15 minutes away from the Malaga airport, and is absolutely to die for!

The Sunset Beach Hotel put together a fabulous Gala Dinner with live music, a party bag full of the typical New Years party hats, party whistle blowers, and confetti. What the Sunset Beach Hotel did differentely than any other place I have been to, was in the party bag along with the traditional things, you also got either got big plastic fun big plastic red lips, vampire fangs, or those funky glasses with the big nose attached to it. Trust me, everyone had fun with those, even before the drinking began!

The doors opened at 8:30 and you were greeted with a glass of champagne, and a little snack, along with your choice of white or red wine, cava, or liquor! There was an open bar till 2am! These Spaniards don´t mess around!

The dinner started to be served at 9pm, and first came out a red prawn and mango salad! And it only got better from there. Next was a Monkfish medallion over winter vegetable with a creamy clam and vermouth sauce. Then came out a duo of sorbets to clean your palette and make way for the final meal which was a grilled filet of beef with Rossini served with dauphinoise potatoes, green beans with bacon and glazed carrots. If you had room for dessert, they served a Macadamia nut and Chocolate tort with a mascapone mosse, and all I can say is…YUMMY!

The night was absolutely amazing, and only continued to get better and better! Silvio Bergamini, who is a international singer, sang the night away from 10 – 2am, without ever taking a break! Silvio started his professional career when he toured all over Italy with his own band at the young age of 16. He sang an array of songs all night, which ranged from songs like; That´s amore, Fly me to the moon, Paper Moon, Bamba and many many more! The dancefloor was packed the entire night! Silvio has achieved much success signing in various famous Restaurants and Hotels on and around the Costa Del Sol in Spain, and I can see why, he absolutely shined in the spotlight. Overall for only, 85 Euros, there was not one thing I could have complained about. The place, atmosphere, music, food, company and lets not forget the open bar, was all perfecto! Viva Espana!

I agree Amanda. I was there too, and everything was marvelous. It was for my first time in Sunset Beach Club and I only can recommend the visit to the Hotel. Brave for the personnel!
