Ecstacy 100% Proven To Kill Cancer Cells

Sara Tayte August 20, 2011 93

Now you can add  to your checklist of reasons to go to Club Space this weekend: a modified super-version of the club drug ecstasy has been “100% proven” to kill all blood related cancer cells.  Back in 2006 when they started these experiments, they determined that in huge doses, ecstasy and antidepressants proved to shut down the already cancerous cells and prevent them from continuing their toxic growth.  But the downside was, the doses of both would have to be in such high amounts that it would be lethal to the patient. Scientists at The University Of Western Australia have chemically modified ecstasy so that some atoms were taken away and replaced with others.  Lead researcher Professor John Gordon, from the University of Birmingham, told the BBC: “Particularly the leukemia, the lymphoma and the melanoma, where we’ve tested these new compounds we can wipe out 100% of the cancer cells in some cases.”  So now, what would normally take the amount of ecstasy to do the job and would be potentially hurt you, they can now do in 1mg.   But don’t get too excited yet, because these are just test tube results.  Before doctors would ever start prescribing it, it would need lengthy testing on both animals and humans before it would be mainstream.  Last year I also wrote a story titled “About To Die?  Just Get High!” which talked about how the main ingredient in magic mushrooms called psilocybin calmed even the most terrified nerves of terminal patients.   So basically drugs are wonderful for you in the right circumstances.  But again, according to scientists, BBC and other estimates, it could take up to 10 years until ecstasy becomes mainstream in the medical treatment world.  But still, extremely good news and a huge step into fighting cancer. 100 mg is the typical dose in one pill. why does the article say that dose would kill you? some users take 2 or 3 pills (or more) at a time with no harm.

Its better to be a little retared than to not even get to be one

Note: They do not say that the normal 100 mg dose will kill you. Re-read the article and you will see that it says that they found that in order for MDMA to shut down cancer cells, they had to use very high doses which would kill a person (and yes you can die from MDMA).

I’ve read a lot of comments here stating that they say its 100mg that will kill, no where in the article does it say what dosage would be needed to cure the cancer, that would also kill a human. It only states that the dosage needed would kill you, the only number given in here is 1 mg in the modified version of Ecstacy will be 100% effective at killing the cancerous cells.

  7. Anonymous September 28, 2011 at 5:51 AM -

the article doesn’t say that 100mg of it would kill you. it says that the amount that you would need with the current street drug to get these same results that the doctors are getting would hurt you. that same special amount they’ve gotten results with 1mg of their new special derivative.

ARTICLE DOESN’T SAY 100MG MDMA WOULD KILL YOU READ THE ARTICLE WITH YOUR THINKING CAP ON

  11. KDavis September 28, 2011 at 7:15 AM -

The article doesn’t seem to mention dosage of MDMA, but rather the 1mg needed for the new drug.

  12. duhhh September 28, 2011 at 9:39 AM -

@curious, you obviously didn’t learn how to read correctly in grade school. nowhere in this article does it mention how many mg the supposed lethal dose is.

  13. circushoffman September 28, 2011 at 10:52 AM -

as if what most people take when clubbing is the genuine MDMA as long as narcotics still are hunted down by governments and therefore distributed and produced by money hungry bandits i think for many people drug taking is a health hazard i do think the farmaceutical industry is just as greedy and corrupt just enjoy life is a good solutition. im glad i beat cancer but also im sure that dancing and drinking without daylight is a cause of cancer . its all about balance
ithink and now i stop thinking about all this bnecause that aint healthy either
    rob spacecake allround everything

  14. SH September 28, 2011 at 11:48 AM -

100mg tablet obv is not 100mg of MDMA. Most of the pills are a extremely small percentage of the actual drug and a high percentage of “filler”.

  17. nigga joe September 28, 2011 at 1:34 PM -

well man think about the immune system of a cancer patient as opposed to a perfectly healthy 21 year old. we can take 2 or 3 pills and have a great time and then someone on cancer with a shitty immune system takes one and it might really fuck them up. especially seein how cancer decreases body mass

  18. Anonymous September 28, 2011 at 3:53 PM -

If you read the BBC article it says 110g not 100mg which equates to about 1000 pills and i’m pretty sure that would kill even the most hardened pill heads !!

  19. j September 28, 2011 at 7:52 PM -

    Great news!
I personally and throughly enjoy OD’ing on E. And would do so if I could find a trustworthy source
But seriously that’s really great news!

Now if it is slightly modified would the drug still have its same effects on people or would it not be as strong? interesting. People just dont want to say that theses “drugs” can help and are not as bad as the seem to be

  21. j September 29, 2011 at 8:54 AM -

Take a naturaly occuring Ally-benzene that is known for it’s carcinogenic properties add a NH3 to the molecule and does the opposite.
Pluse makes you feel like a bazillion dollars.
I’ll take 2 please. One for me and one for my wife. “I’d like to buy the world a dose and furnish it with love.”

Very well put J, the same as we know about THC treating Alzheimer and other diseases….now they found out MDMA and magic mushrooms is good for us modified….wow….lol…what world we live in :(
***fyi I have had carcinogen cells, luckily they are gone, I guess these things are working also as it is positive mind :D

  23. Chris September 29, 2011 at 2:50 PM -

Sara Tayte must’ve been on ecstasy when she wrote this article. She doesn’t even know how to spell the word.

  24. Meee September 30, 2011 at 4:37 AM -

Chris – no, actually club spelling is stylized such that it’s a c not an s. Sorry.

  25. matt September 30, 2011 at 2:18 PM -

@Meee. He may well be referring to the “Ecstacy 100% Proven To Kill Cancer Cells” title, where it is spelt incorrectly. Within the article its then spelt ecstasy. Sorry =P

  26. You're Retarded September 30, 2011 at 2:24 PM -

“But don’t get too excited yet, because these are just test tube results.”

Nice article title then… really ethical “journalism” there. You don’t have to be a scientist to know that science never ventures to PROVE anything. In fact, one of the main hallmarks of science is that nothing can be proven to be true but anything can be proven to be false. So the whole basis of this article is just ridiculous… especially given the extremely small amount of evidence supporting it.

  27. Cam October 1, 2011 at 6:00 PM -

    @ J

you said “Even if they have extracted and modified there is still the other toxins.”

Well, no, there wouldn’t. Because the word “extract” (in a context of chemistry) means to separate from other chemicals, so no, there would not be other toxins…there would not be “other” anything, because it was extracted. However, if the 100mg dose would kill you, then THAT chemical itself IS the toxin. There are no “other toxins,” it’s just that this particular chemical is lethal (i.e. toxic) by itself at those doses.

  28. Cam October 1, 2011 at 6:05 PM -

Also, @ “You’re Retarded” THANK YOU. The title of this article is INCREDIBLY misleading…it’s not even ecstasy they’re talking about, and they misguidedly call it ecstasy. “Ecstasy,” when spoken properly, refers to MDMA. It may, under the context of street drugs, actually be other substances but it is SUPPOSED to be MDMA and if you say “ecstasy” in reference to anything but MDMA then you are being incorrect and/or deceitful.

NOW. The chemical that this article is talking about is modified; it specifically says that they moved atoms on the molecule around to different places. That means it’s a different molecule altogether, and thus a different substance (albeit it may be chemically related to MDMA). This being the case, the substance in question is NOT MDMA and thus NOT ecstasy. Therefore, to say “Ecstasy 100% Proven to Kill Cancer Cells” is misleading not just because it is not 100% and not proven (as the article itself states, because that’s how science works), it is also misleading because the chemical they’re referring to isn’t ecstasy in the first place.

Hey guys, we’ve already had a treatment like this for a long time. It has been known since at least 1910 that in a test tube all cancer cells of any kind will be killed by adding one really common and cheap chemical – bleach. So everyone who can’t wait for this treatment, try the older version.

I used to sell beans back in the day. It was not uncommon for me to take 9 beans in a night. 100mg might be intense for someone with no tolerance, but once the tolerance is there, it always takes more and more.

  31. Genius99 October 6, 2011 at 2:29 AM -

Yeah it does say 1mg will kill you in the middle! learn to read. i can’t believe its only 1mg i’m never gonna take ecstacy :)

  32. Anonymous October 6, 2011 at 3:10 PM -

Stupidest fucking crap ive ever read. Fuck ecstacy. Ive known too many people with cancer and thinking about a club drug being used for treatment sickens my very being

  36. Tessa November 10, 2011 at 4:51 AM -

You’d have to be an idiot to think this works… Medically it makes no sense, a random drug can’t target specific cells just by eating it. That’s absurd. So many crackpot cures for cancer have been said to work, from herbal products to crystals hanging from wire-mesh pyramids. I’ll believe it when I see but I wouldn’t bother getting my hopes up. It will be another dead end.
