Public Policy Polling has just released their latest poll of Ohio the countries most crucial swing state. The new numbers have the President in a five point lead over Romney coming in at 51 to 46. The numbers are slightly better for the president from the last PPP pole two weeks ago. Pollsters credit the President’s slight jump to Joe Biden’s commanding victory at the Vice Presidential Debate.

Ohio also Polled well for the President on these key issues…

By a 51/43 margin, voters trust Obama more than Romney on dealing with the issue in Libya.

Obama also has a 51/46 advantage on dealing with the economy.

One reason Romney might be struggling to get voters in Ohio is his record on the auto bailout. Voters in the state support it by a 54/37 margin, including 58/35 with independents. Ohio voters think President Obama would be better than Romney for the auto industry 50/43, and 79% of voters consider it to be an important issue including 42% who say it’s ‘very important.’ [Public Policy Polling]
