Police have arrested a Washington man in connection with the theft of a $100k in rare coins. The coins mostly Liberty Head quarters and Morgan dollars were stolen from a family home in the Woodland area.
The family was quick to point the finger at Dakoda Garren and his girlfriend Elizabeth Massman. Two local people the family had hired to work around the house, according to the family they were the only two people to have access to the coins besides family members.
The duo originally denied stealing the coins to police, but were caught once detectives started to find the coins popping up at businesses around town. Oddly enough the coin stealing couple was spending them at face value for things like movies and pizza!
One of the coins found at the local pizza shop was valued at $18,500. That’s a hell of a lot of money to spend on a slice and soda, hope they got some toppings!!! [Gawker]
