Karina Bolaños, Costa Rica’s Vice Minister of Culture and Youth, was fired this week after a video of her in her undies appeared on YouTube. According to Bolaños, the video was made for a lover she had during a temporary break from her husband, and was stolen by a computer engineer she hired to do some work at her home.
Bolaños went on to tell CNN that after stealing the video, the engineer used it to extort her and her husband (a Costa Rican Senator). When the couple refused to keep making payments, they say the engineer uploaded the video to YouTube. [Gawker]
