The New York Times reports that on what some said would be the most intense day of protest yet, Egyptian President Mubarak has left Cairo and has ceded power to the Egyptian military.
An announcement was made this morning on television by the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Armed Forces, stating that the military was now in control of the country.
This could get pretty bad real fast. More on this later.
It is reported by the Times that Mubarak is now in a resort home in the region of Sharm el-Sheik.
