A Kansas cattle farmer is being sued after he left a three-star review on TripAdvisor for A Bigfoot-themed Branson attraction.  Bigfoot on the Strip is a fun park with thrill rides, a mini-golf course, arcade, interactive virtual theatre and a tour of Bigfoot Farms. Randy Winchester and his daughter, Emily visited the park earlier this year in March for an annual meeting of the Heartland Highland Cattle Association.

After returning home to Kansas, Randy logged into TripAdvisor and left a review for Bigfoot on the Strip, giving the park a three-star review out of five. He also said in his review, “All in all a decent experience but had we paid more than the $10 I would have been disappointed,” Randy said in his review. He wrote about spending five to 10 minutes feeding the cattle at the beginning of the tour and seeing “maybe 10 of the cows.”

According to Randy after he posted the review he started getting phone calls and he updated his review to let people know what was happening. He said the owner of Bigfoot on the Strip contacted and complained about his review and threatened to sue him and his daughter.

Randy then changed his review from three stars to one star and that is when the lawsuit came. Bigfoot on the Strip filed a lawsuit against Randy and his daughter Emily as well as their business, Dancing Cow Farms. Bigfoot on the Strip is calling Randy’s statements, “false and defamatory.” The business is suing for libel, negligence and tortious interference.

The whole thing has become a giant mess with Bigfoot on the Strip alleging that Randy and his daughter didn’t take the full tour and also denied call her on her cellphone. They are asking Randy to remove all the reviews published online, which they say has discouraged people from visiting the attraction and has hurt the business. They also want Randy to pay their lawyer fees at least, $25,000.

Randy and his daughter are not the first people to be sued by other companies for posting negative reviews of the companies. Have you ever been sued by a review that you posted or have been contacted by the owner or owners or the company you posted the review about? Comment below.
